Security Coordination Centre SCC Ltd. Belgrade was founded on 15 June, 2015 by three SEE system operators:
- Joint stock company “Elektromreža Srbije“ (EMS AD) – TSO from Republic of Serbia,
- Joint stock company “Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem” (CGES AD)– TSO from Montenegro and
- “Nezavisni Operator Sistema u Bosni i Herceovini” (NOSBiH) – ISO from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Joint stock company “Elektromreža Srbije“ (EMS AD) is a TSO from Republic of Serbia with a mission of secure and reliable transmission of electrical energy, efficiently managing the operation of the transmission system interconnected with power systems of other countries, optimal and sustainable development of transmission system with the aim of satisfying the demands of customers and of the society as a whole, ensuring the functioning and development of the electricity market in the Republic of Serbia and its integration in the regional and European electricity market.
Joint stock company “Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem” (CGES AD) is a TSO from Montenegro with the main task of ensuring safe operation and development of the Electric Transmission System of Montenegro. On the other hand, CGES AD is also pursuing a comprehensively challenging investment plan by increasing the number of tie-lines with the neighbouring countries. Implementation of the planned investments in the Electric Transmission System of Montenegro will enable Montenegro to become a significant power node in the region, firmly integrated in the future regional electricity market.
“Nezavisni Operator Sistema u Bosni i Herceovini” (NOSBiH) is ISO from Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) which manages the entire B&H transmission network with the aim of ensuring continuous electricity supply by the defined quality standards for the welfare of its citizens. Main tasks of NOSBiH include: managing the work of all high voltage transmission facilities and balancing energy market in B&H, as well as review and approval of Long-term Transmission System Development Plan. NOSBiH is a non-profit company in Bosnia and Herzegovina owned by the two entities, the Federation of B&H and the Republic of Srpska.
All founders of SCC are members of ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) and they share the ownership of SCC in equal parts as shown in the picture below:
