SCC Ltd. Belgrade is a small organisation with less than 20 employees, but in last year, we managed to collect around 20kg of plastic corks and hand it over to the association "Čep za hendikep".

Association "Čep za hendikep" (https://cepzahendikep.org/ ) is an original "grassroots" civic initiative which was established in 2012 with a mission to improve the quality of life for disabled people and to strive for the realization of the full potential of every disabled person using the available resources in the community. Contribution to the society is following: 

• Citizens voluntarily collect corks from plastic bottles,
• Association "Čep za hendikep" then collect these corks and sell them to companies that recycle hard plastics,
• For the money they receive, association "Čep za hendikep" buys new or used orthopedic aids for disabled people.

By supporting association "Čep za hendikep" and similar organisations, we are trying to support disabled people but also to raise social awareness regarding recycling of plastics – small contributions by individuals could provide significant improvements in waste reduction, protection of environment and simultaneously help the people in need.
