At the beginning of the October 2022, R2D2 consortium officially started its activities with a General Assembly in Valencia (Spain). More than 40 experts, from 17 European entities participating in this international research effort, met during two days in different workshops and sessions in order to define the demonstration activities that will be run by the project during the next three years.
As discussed in the Assembly, Project aims at improving the resilience and reliability of current Electrical Power and Energy Systems (EPES) against a growing number of threats and vulnerabilities that may affect such critical infrastructure, exposing weaknesses with harmful and damaging effects on different stakeholders and final customers.
This strategic goal will be driven by end-users and will deliver a palette of complementary solutions synthesized into four Products:
- “Multi-risk assessment framework for power system”,
- “Resilience suite for TSO & DSO”,
- “Prevention Systems For Energy Infrastructures Security” and
- “Enhanced Assets Maintenance And Management Toolkit”.
SCC will contribute to this project as one of the leaders of Serbian demo site, as well as in research and development of several use cases related to the work of Regional Coordination Centres (RCC).
